Okay - Joseph S Carr family. Lived in Mahopac, NY. My dad says in 1940 they lived above the firehouse. What was the name of the road? Hmmmn. He laughed and said "Firehouse Hill" but truthfully it was on the other side of Route 6 and it could have been a continuation of Croton Falls Road. . . but he doesn't remember the name.
My mother, Therese Thomas, her dad was Joseph T. Thomas. In 1940 they lived in Glendale in Queens. She doesn't remember the street either.
Love,
Mom T
Ooops Joseph L Thomas. Sorry!
Such a treasure of information! Mom, I bet that Grandpa and Grandma find it funny that after all these years it's suddenly important to know the name of their street in 1940 ;)
