Birthday Boy!

Whilst I was not watching, Isaiah popped the lid off the canister and sampled the berry ice cream. This was before dinner was served.
Then he fell asleep before we could bring out the cake. The wind kept blowing out the candles, and we sang, anyway. He slept through it. We waited a good period of time (at least 15, if not 30 minutes) before starting on dessert without him.
He recovered nicely, though--waking to 3 pieces of cake, a bit of ice cream and plenty of new trucks.

No More Ice Cream?

Among the greater tragedies of Isaiah's young life: His parents limited him to one bowl of ice cream on Monday.

I scream, you scream ...
We all scream for ice cream, especially Isaiah, celebrating his birthday for the third time on Sunday with the New York grandparents. Let me be first to say that multiple birthdays is a bad precedent. Please don't tell him about this when he's old enough to make demands.

He also found the spinning freezer intriguing. I had to pull his hands out when I realized he was touching the spinning cannister, not the ice.
