A Bernadette story from Grandma Tascio

First - I have to thank Clare again who spent 20 minutes on the phone with Verizon last night reconfiguring my phone while I drove us home.

Secondly, I have to thank Bernadette who somehow managed to lock me out of my password protected phone :)

How do those little fingers do it?!!?  Can we Bernadette proof it for future use?!!?

I really do thank her though because there had been a glitch with my phone and email ever since I got it - and it is now working great!!!!

Notes

Bernadette showing great interest in her fists. Sometimes she stares at one or both. Sometimes she talks to them. Sometimes she sticks them in her mouth. Today she accidentally bit herself with her new tooth. And the other day she grabbed one of her own fingers and was upset that someone was pulling so hard.

And here she shows interest in Grandma and the shoe Grandma is dangling.

Swinging with Grandma

Among the current things Isaiah finds very interesting: Swinging, watching the carousel (a little more exciting than riding), anything he can get in his mouth, bushes, trees, drainage grates he can stand on, elevator buttons, screws that hold metal plates in place, most people he meets, bicycles, brooms, fruit, whatever his parents are eating, books he can chew on, throwing things.

Isaiah's very busy Sunday

Isaiah naps in the car, unaware of the many events planned for his day.
Isaiah waits for the 9:30 a.m. service at St. Charles Borromeo to end with Dad and Uncle James Friedrichs. The last time we saw James, Isaiah was still hanging out inside.

Uncle Peter plays guitar at a cafe on City Island.

Aunt Liz, Aunt Therese, and Grandma Tascio watch Peter while Isaiah naps.

New best thing ever
We were in Putnam Lake today to celebrate Clare's birthday, and Isaiah loved the balloons. Up and down, sideways, bouncing off the ceiling -- helium filled balloons are something he'd invest in if he were a venture capitalist and had some extra cash. Mom and Peter keep him busy during this stint of balloon watching.

Mad hatter
Patrice and Darren, who are parents of the cute Scarlett and often sit a couple of rows in front of us now that we've slid to the back at church, gave Isaiah this hat. He tried it on when Grandma visited last week, but it was a little too big.

Grandma one of Isaiah's favorite people
If you were to ask Isaiah who his favorite people are, he probably wouldn't say anything because he'd probably sleeping. If he were awake, he'd still pretty much ignore the syntax of your comment, although he might follow your voice, especially if you made motorcycle noises. Nonetheless, I can tell you that Grandma Anne is one of his favorite people. She took Isaiah and Marian out for a well-needed break this week and apparently showed off a little while Marian was taking care of errands.
