Swinging with Grandma

Among the current things Isaiah finds very interesting: Swinging, watching the carousel (a little more exciting than riding), anything he can get in his mouth, bushes, trees, drainage grates he can stand on, elevator buttons, screws that hold metal plates in place, most people he meets, bicycles, brooms, fruit, whatever his parents are eating, books he can chew on, throwing things.

Quality time

Isaiah enjoys a gum massage from Grandma Tascio. He got a lot of time this weekend with Aunt Clare, Grandma, Peter, Magda, Grandpa Tascio and Aunt Therese. He laughed a bunch, cried a little and sometimes was consolable only by mom.

Peter (below) seems to be picking this baby thing up quickly and now makes only passing comparisons to owning cats. Magda, of course, is a natural.

Grandma Friedrichs
Isaiah didn't show any interest in reading the new books Grandma Friedrichs brought him today, and he yelled when she changed his diaper. That's normal for a diaper change, though, and he really enjoyed being held. Other than nursing and cuddling with mom, that's his favorite thing right now. Funny how all four grandparents seem to grasp this intuitively and naturally adapt to his desires.

Grandma Tascio
Grandma Anne Tascio (left) and Robin (the midwife) offer Marian and Isaiah some breastfeeding advice early on Aug. 9, 2008.
