Last tastes of summer

Isaiah beckoned for Uncle Pete's corn, and so, like many of his requests, he got his chance. He attacked and enjoyed.

Spring in Yonkers

We had beautiful weather over the weekend so we went to the park on Sunday after church. Like many items of clothing, Isaiah's hat has gotten mysteriously small (and not because dad sometimes does the laundry).
Isaiah got to wander around barefoot in the grass and infield dirt, chase the ball and watch the kickball players, football game, fishing, bicycle riders and many other people out enjoying the warm, sunny afternoon.

We want s'mores

Needless to say, these tasty treats did not escape. Magda, Pete, Marian and I chomped them down after grilling in the park Monday night. In addition to the food cart that Pete and I plan to run in New York next summer, we're also going to start exporting marshmallows to Poland, where s'mores could be the next sensation. If you're checking for baby news, July 30 is probably not going to be the birthday.

Early evening, Yonkers
This tree sits near the lip of a park on the Hudson River in Yonkers. We sat by the water Sunday, soaking in the summer evening tonight.
